Vivus group is a leading name in the healthcare industry in Karnataka and has already earned an enviable reputation in highly specialized cardiac care. There plan is to add at least 3-4 peripheral centers every year and increase “reach” of our healthcare delivery model. For this type of accelerated growth, they needed an “Enterprise Level” Information Management system. The Enterprise HIS should run across our flagship Group Hospital “Vivus Heart Center, Bangalore” to start with and should integrate of all the Group Hospitals eventually.

Challenge
Their existing HIS at ran legacy software and did not handle all the required functions, leave alone ability to integrate all the Group Hospitals! The company that had provided HIS a few years back with a lot of promises was not even around to discuss the new proposition.

Solution
SoftLink decided to accept the “challenge”, and after studying their requirements decided to “customize” PANACEA. It took roughly 6-9 months for to switch fully to PANACEA, but the benefits of PANCEA are real, and it took no to realize them both qualitatively and quantitatively.

The Solution is deployed with
- 1 Database Server
- 2 Application Server and
- 35 Client Workstations at 3 different Location

Another challenge was in connecting Hospital building, Health center (LIS) and Administrative Building locate at 3 different Location roughly a KM away. This was done with the help of Fiber optic N/W across three locations.
Panacea is a result in-depth study of Hospital Processes and consultation with leading Healthcare Providers. Panacea enables hospital to:

- Record, view and manage all patient-related non-clinical and clinical information from the time of admission till the time of discharge on a continuous basis
- Schedule all appointments, across patients, doctors and hospital locations
- View hospital occupancy details
- Store and view lab results and send them to wards automatically
- Store and manage diagnostic images
- Print prescriptions with the help of a huge drug database
- Prepare and print all bills
- Prepare daily reports on patient registrations, bills, receipts and discharges
- Conduct various kinds of analyses like facility-wise revenue, doctor-wise registrations, accounts receivables analysis and patient category analysis
- Prepare reports with statistical analysis in various types of graphs and charts
- Export graphs to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Windows applications
