Interventional
Cardiology
HeartCare Plus's Interventional Cardiology
is a complete information system covering all the stages
of patient care for entire set of procedures that are performed
in cathlab.
It comprehensively records information
for the treatment cycle of the following procedures :
Cardiac Angiography
Angioplasty with multi-device protocols
Valvuloplasty
Pacemaker
Electrophysiology
It performs the following key tasks:
Recording patient information
Scheduling procedures
Creating post-procedure records
Generating bills
Ensuring quick referrals
Recording patient information
The module eliminates the need for manually entering
patient data at every device involved in a procedure. The
patient's demographic information is automatically filled
in from the Hospital ADT. Then, all clinical systems work
off the same patient data; there is no chance of errors like
one patient's report or image being assigned to another patient.
Scheduling procedures
As soon as a procedure is scheduled, a message is
sent to the haemodynamic and reporting system with the patient
data and schedule information. A similar message is sent
to the modality.
Creating post-procedure records
At the end of the procedure, a single patient/procedure
record is created integrating:
the physician's findings and conclusions
images from the modality and
quantitative data from the haemodynamic system.
Patient data is stored in a secure database.
Administration of access rights and compliance with HIPPA
is easy.
Generating bills
CPT codes and ICD codes are automatically sent to
the billing system. Inventory used during the procedure is
sent to the inventory system. The automatic posting of procedure
codes based on clinical captured ensures that no procedure
goes unbilled.
Ensuring quick referrals
As soon as a procedure is completed, reports and
images are exported to the EDR so that referring physicians
can review without delay. |
