SoftLink International is a healthtech company focused on developing IT solutions for hospital automation, clinical informatics, patient workflow management and analytics. Founded in 1997, SoftLink has successfully completed projects in USA, Middle East, India and Far East. With its agile Product innovation and R&D, it has garnered a customer base of over 500 healthcare institutions in 15 countries. SoftLink’s flagship products help clinicians deliver better care in Cardiology, Radiology and in the hospital enterprise.

Our Management Team

Prakash Kamat
Founder, Chairman & CEO

With a B. Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, he founded SoftLink International in 1997, after 11 years of consulting at UNISYS, Citicorp, SWIFT and other fortune 500 companies in India, USA and Europe.

He had built a strong foundation of education and experience for the strenuous path of building a software product company in Pune, which was then an emerging silicon city of India and subsequently, he went on to co-found SoftLink International Inc. in USA in 2002.

The global experience gained all over the world gave him a sound background and knowledge of the ever changing world of technology, mission critical products and diversified IT services to build a sustainable product company in medical imaging and Healthcare IT.

As an entrepreneur, Prakash has co-founded a cardiac hospital in central india and is a strategic investor in a medical electronics company; additionally, he acts as a mentor-advisor to various startups and is a partner in an angel fund that gives seed capital to early stage companies.

Dr. Awani Kamat
Co-founder & Director

With an MBBS degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur and a Gold Medal in Pathology, she is a qualified physician, She brings clinical expertise and design perspectives to build applications for healthcare enterprises.

Being a physician, she has contributed as a domain expert for information system in cardiology as well as for other clinical disciplines. She has shaped up EMR modules for ENT, Ophthalmology, Diabetes, Nephrology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology and continues to provide research inputs and validations for our Healthcare IT applications.

On the management front, Awani heads HR and Administration department of the company and has pro-actively drafted employee friendly policies and initiatives to create a sense of belonging resulting amongst employees resulting in longer retention.

Rakesh Budhe
GM, Strategic Projects

As a GM Strategic Projects, he plays a key role in SoftLink's business operations in Asia and Middle East. With over 20 years of tenure in SoftLink, he has deep understanding of SoftLink's core values, business philosophy and customer propositions.

As part of the management team, he plays an important role in evaluating on-ground dynamics of customers and their business objectives. As a firm believer of 'Customer always comes first', he has effectively contributed to acquisition of key customers and their retention in the longer term.

He started his career in customer service and over the years, he has played variety of roles in Business Analysis, Business Development & Project Management gaining expertise in healthcare domain and insights in assessment of customers.

Rakesh holds Post Graduate Degree in Marketing and started his career in an ice-cream company in Nagpur and joined Team SoftLink in 2000.

Sameer Shinde
Head of Product Development, Hospital Automation

He leads SoftLink’s Clinical and Hospital Information Systems Group; his key responsibilities areas are product design & development along with Project Planning, Software Development, Business Process Re-engineering and Delivery Management.

He has contributed in development of Cardio vascular Information System, Radiology information system, Scheduler and other healthcare IT workflow automation systems. He focuses on acquisition and retention of talent in his group to deliver innovative solutions.

Sameer holds Bachelor’s degree in computer science and has more than 23 years of experience in software development and he is a certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 QMS as well as ISO 27001 for Information Security Management System.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family & is a photography enthusiast.

Jagdeesh Motegowda
Head of Product Development, Clinical Informatics

Jagdeesh holds 20+ years of experience in the Healthcare and Telecommunication industries, managing end-to-end life cycles of large projects as a Solution Architect and Technical Project Manager.

He leads a team that handles a complete SDLC for PACS, DICOM/ HL7 Communication Stack and NCDR Registries. With his deep technical expertise and extensive industry knowledge, he is responsible for building next generation of products and keeping them abreast with latest technology.

Prior to joining SoftLink, Jagdeesh was associated with Cognizant, T-Systems and Veritas in various roles. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Pune University.

Aditya Dixit
Sr. Project Manager – Design & Customer Experience

Aditya is a Sr. Project Manager at SoftLink and he has been part of project management team for more than a decade and has rich experience in medical imaging domain.

He leads a team focussed on medical imaging solutions that drives innovation roadmap using customer interactions and domain expertise. In addition to fostering the development of new services and solutions, he also guides the team in complex integration projects. His two decades of experience in healthcare technology brings clinical context in developing products & solutions with hyper friendly user interfaces.

Aditya has completed his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Miami, USA and has worked as a Research Associate at Wien Center for Memory Disorders in Miami and as a Clinical Applications Specialist at Hermes Medical Solutions, Chicago.
