The 200 beds Max Devki Devi Heart & Vascular Institute provides comprehensive cardiac care with facilities spanning all forms of angiographies, angioplasties, electro-physiology, pacemaker implantations, and various types of cardiac and vascular surgery including advanced paediatric Cardiac Surgeries, Aortic aneurysm Surgeries and beating heart bypass surgeries.
Challenge
The 24/7 hospital provides "Rapid" management of Heart Attacks in case of emergencies. These facility needs able support from advanced diagnostic and preventive cardiac facilities and automation in the form of high end C-PACS solution. The hospital wanted to integrate 2 Cathlabs and Colur Doppler and wanted to produce a Cardiac database for Clinical and Research Purpose.
Solution
SoftLink International deployed, its latest Offering “IMAGINE – Enterprise MM PACS and Heart Care Plus”. The solution Connects to 2 Philips FD Cathlabs and 2 Colour Doppler and provides an On-line storage of 300GB. The patient studies are available throughout the Hospital on Clinical viewers and 2 Enterprise DICOM Viewers.
Solution Architecture and Workflow
The Patients studies are transferred from 2 Cathlabs & 2 Colour Dopplers to the central server. The Server provides the online storage for roughly 6 months, after which the Patients studies are transferred to a long Term Archive on DVD. The C-PACS is integrated with Heart Care Plus – An intergrated system for Patient information, Clinical Features, Stress Test and Coronary Intervention, making it into an complete CIS (Cardiology Information System).
